Rian is the technology manager for KBR’s K-COT technology.  He is a One KBR Tech Fellow with more than 30 years experience in the petrochemical industry (ten with KBR).  His primary focus is on developing and improving KBR’s olefin technologies with an emphasis on decarbonization solutions.

Before joining KBR he worked in a process consulting role at Aspen Technology and as a process engineer at Sasol Technology.  He holds a bachelors degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of Pretoria, South Africa.

He has received several internal and external awards for process innovation and holds 10 patents in the field of olefins technology.
