Borislava Kostova is a leader in Sustainability and Low Carbon Solutions for LyondellBasell. In the past she worked fifteen years for ExxonMobil where she held senior roles in Low Carbon Solutions as a Global Bio-Feedstock Advisor; Senior Technology, Scouting and Venture Advisor; Senior Strategy and Planning Advisor; various roles in the optimization, logistics, scheduling, planning, trading and advanced control. She had an honor to serve for several years as a Technology Manager at the Bioenergy Technologies Office in the U.S. Department of Energy. She was the DOE-BETO representative for the International Energy Agency Bioenergy Task 42, “Biorefining in a Future BioEconomy.” She holds a Master of Business Degree from University of Maryland Robert H. Smith School of Business and Ph.D. in chemical engineering from University of Massachusetts Amherst, where she serves on the advisory board of the University of Massachusetts Chemical Engineering Department.
