Miss Faryal Fatima graduated with a Master of Science in Engineering from Prairie View A&M University (PVAMU) in 2022. She also did her Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering from PVAMU in 2020. Currently, she is working as a research assistant at the Center for Energy & Environmental Sustainability (CEES) at PVAMU. Her primary focus at CEES is on the project “Poultry Processing with Sequential Membrane Separation and Anaerobic Digestion”. She has successfully completed the first phase of the poultry project, in which she researched recycling poultry slaughterhouse wastewater with a sequential membrane process of ultrafiltration, forward osmosis, and reverse osmosis. And now, she is conducting research on the anaerobic digestion of poultry by-products. She has published three research articles and presented her research at various conferences. She has also achieved many awards, including 3rd position in the 17th System Pathways Student Research Symposium, and she was selected to represent the USA in the Veolia summer program 2021.
